CATCHERs Inc. has pioneered “EarlyDetect for Esophageal Cancer”, an efficient, cost-effective, and easy-to-use screening prototype/kit that enables early detection of esophageal cancer. By analyzing just a saliva sample, it targets 15 microbial genera that constitutes the unique "oral bacterial fingerprint" for EC patients, delivering higher sensitivity and specificity for individuals aged 40 years and over.

Currently, upper gastrointestinal endoscopy is the main approach to detect/diagnose esophageal cancer; however, it is an invasive examination method and is inconvenient for timely discovery of esophageal cancer.

The lack of cost-effective approaches for early detection of esophageal cancer has caused poor five-year survival rates (less than 20%) and huge economic burdens.

Our innovated early detection prototype/kit, constructed by 15 specific microbial genera, can detect esophageal cancer with higher sensitivity and specificity at its earlier, most treatable stages.
